‘Is there a clash of civilisations?’ The Vibe Debate ; Wednesday June 30th

Price: £2.50 and bring a friend “Is there a clash of civilisations?”

Our debates are going to be more controversial, a little less topical and more ideological and based on deeper moral questions. As Islamist and far left groups continue to clash with far right organisations such as the BNP and EDL, we are asking if there is a more fundamental clash of civilisations that is causing these tensions.

The Vibe is also reorganising the way it manages debates. If you would like to receive e-mails from us about the debates please e-mail me at david.gold@the-vibe.co.uk. The events to date have beenwell attended and had some interesting discussions, so for those of you who haven’t attended, it’d be great to see some new faces as well. We really want those of you who haven’t yet attended to come along and join in. Everyone can talk, the speaker chairs the events so that everyone gets to have his or her say. No one will be allowed to talk for more than two minutes at a time, or to dominate the debate.

These are informal, casual but passionate debates. And once again if you’re not planning on attending do publicise this event among your friends. To those of you who have attended past events and enjoyed them, again let your friends know and bring them along.e key to this is word of mouth advertising. Tell a friend, chances are you’ll know someone who is interested! Everyone can invite others to this event. We had a great turnout, lively debate and social last time out, and we want even more of you this time.
